Our projects
Boomers Crane & Transport will always supply well-maintained, certified, and clean equipment. We take pride in providing our customers with DOT-compliant professional operators, who are certified by the NCCCO (National Commission For The Certification Of Crane Operators). Our company is insured and adheres to strict safety standards. We strive to provide a variety of efficient transportation and crane services in Idaho Falls and all surrounding areas.

Changing the View
A customer wanted to block the view of being able to see his neighbors so we assisted a landscape company placing trees in specific spots in order for them to achieve the view they desired, reaching a staggering 180’.

Bridge replacement
This job presented a lot of challenges with overhead powerlines requiring our 110 ton crane to set the pieces off the truck and into the canal. We then passed one end to the 90 ton flat boom under the power lines and set them into position.

INL Cooling Tower Addition
With our operators represented by the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE), we installed an addition to the cooling system for the Idaho National Laboratory, craning all the steel and cooling towers as well as hauling the cooling towers onto the site.

RTU replacement on Costco
In order for daytime operating hours to not be affected, we replaced all the rooftop HVAC units during the night.

BYU-Idaho Light Replacement
While the 30 ton picked personnel in the man basket, the 110 ton picked and replaced all the lights for the stadium.

Stone Saw Install
We set up this crane inside the building in order to install the saw blade roller on a new saw machine.

Mine Shovel Rebuild
This is the last piece of a mine shovel rebuild that we were able to help out on for the duration of the project. This is only half of the bucket weighing in at 70,000 lbs.

Deep In History
We had the privilege of assembling a lifting frame, picking with our crane, and transporting this cabin dating back to the late 1800’s.

777 CAT haul truck chassis
Hauling a load of this size requires a lot of moving pieces to line up but it’s no problem for Boomers, using our in house pilot service as well as acquiring all permits needed to move this 90,000 lb. haul truck chassis to a mine site.

Common FAQ's
I need a crane but also need my item moved, is that something you can do?
Of course! We offer a one stop shop to our customers specializing in the effectiveness of using one company for all of your crane and transport needs, ensuring all pieces of the project will be arriving at the same time to help our customers cut costs as well as make it easier to schedule.
I have a job I am uncertain about which type of equipment I need, can you come to my job and look at it with me?
Yes, not a problem! We will come out to your site to do a free job walk as well as submit a free estimate so you know what to expect when our team of professionals arrive on your job.
Can you build a pick plan for our project?
Yes, for a small fee we will build fully comprehensive 3D pick plans that will show your job in specific and what it will take to complete from start to finish.
How far in advance should I schedule my crane rental?
The more time we have to plan a job the better it will be for our customers. Depending on the type of crane, we may need to obtain permits for delivery, schedule an erection crew to assemble the crane and, for certain cranes, reserve them in advance due to high utilization. Therefore, once you finalize your equipment needs for your project, we advise you to contact us as soon as possible.
Can I schedule a crane for weekends/overtime hours, night shift, etc.?
Yes. Our normal operating hours are Monday through Friday, 7 am- 5 pm. After hours just call the phone number and someone will get you taken care of or return your call shortly. Emergencies happen and we will be there when they do!
How far away do Boomers team work?
We go anywhere and everywhere, anytime or place.

MEET OUR TEAM
Boomers Crane and Transport was founded in 2003 by Mike Landon, beginning with humble roots and a single fixed cab 10 ton boom truck specializing in the setting of trusses, revolutionizing the game with a truss bar that allowed customers to set 1-5 trusses at a time with the correct spacing for ease of the customer. Since then we have grown into the community staple we are today, assisting customers all over ID, WY, and MT. For the premier customer service and below none expectation in safety, choose Boomers’ for all of your crane and heavy haul needs.
